About Nałęczów Landscape Park

Established in 1983, Nałęczów Landscape Park (Park Krajobrazowy Nałęczowskiego Pasa) is situated in the picturesque Lublin Upland within the Lublin Voivodeship of eastern Poland. This protected zone covers a diverse mosaic of landscapes characterized by gentle hills, mixed deciduous-coniferous forests, sparkling streams, and meadows. The park borders the Small Ponds Nature Reserve and is closely linked to the spa town of Nałęczów, famed for its healing mineral springs and historic sanatoriums dating back to the 19th century. The park’s ecosystem supports a variety of native Central European flora and fauna, including protected plant species and woodland birds. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy an extensive network of marked hiking and biking trails that wind through ancient woodlands, river valleys, and limestone hills. Visitors appreciate the blend of natural beauty with cultural heritage, including charming rural villages and spa resorts, making it a destination for both nature and wellness tourism. The nearby Nałęczów town provides visitor amenities, historic parks, and botanical gardens. The park also plays an important role in regional landscape preservation and environmental education, focusing on sustainable tourism and forestry practices. Seasonal changes bring vibrant wildflowers in spring and colorful foliage in autumn, enhancing its year-round appeal.
